ABSTRACTIONS

This was my first big abstraction. It does have a subject. It’s about yellow rising up, and blue sinking down. It is an incomplete world, with no real red.

I called it The Creation of the Birds and Fishes on the Fifth Day.

This was my biggest abstraction, a scheme for a condo. It provides screening from the balcony below.

My theme was the ocean, and my brief was broad. This was the first time I incorporated rocks in the design. Playing with opacity was central to this project.

Condos, with their huge windows, are underexplored for stained glass. Often, they need screening from below. A stained-glass fence can provide that.
