A Small Memory Window for a Couple from the Hockey Valley
This small window represents a few thousand acres of Ontario, near the Hockley Valley. It was commissioned my a loving mother to honour a young couple who grew up and got together there, but now live far away. It captures the locations of the houses, the roads, the fields, and the ponds.
I loved this job. The brief was so sweet. My job was to turn a memory, and a space, into a jewel. It had to be small, because it was a Christmas present, bound for California.
The central piece is a mirror.
