What I Can Do

I can rebuild antique windows, ensuring their stability for the future also while cleaning them deeply.

In some cases, I can patch windows without rebuilding them, but only if the window can be brought to me.

What I Can’t Do

I can’t fix shattered pieces of glass. That’s a job best done with special methods I don’t know. I thus cannot glue glass back together. When I find a broken pane, I either accept the break and run a line across it, or replace the whole piece.

I only work with some of the painted glass. I can work with the domestic ones, but I have no experience of church windows. I won’t work with unfamiliar materials on a patron’s window.

I’m not a general contractor. I don’t climb ladders. I don’t know carpentry, only glazing. In almost every case, the window must be brought to me, to my studio.

To fix a window, I have to remove it. I do not fix windows in place. That’s a different set of skills.

If I am shown a job outside my methods, or beyond my skills, I will at once say no.
